Well, Brian McLaren is at it again. Not that it should surprise anyone familiar with his inclusive and unbiblical idea of “Christianity.” Last week his latest book, “Why did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed cross the road?” was released, and it looks like it will be more of the same.
The emergent church leader said in a promo video for the book, ”My answer to the question Why did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed cross the road is simply, this: To get to ‘the other.’ In other words, everything we know about Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammad, tells us that—if they were here today—they would be trying to lead us into an encounter with the other where, instead of killing one another, and hating one another, we would discover one another. As all God’s children…”
Stand Up for the Truth has more about Mclaren’s latest pluralistic work and quotes from many well-known authors/teachers who are promoting (as well as a link the relevant Fighting for the Faith podcast).
